Toshiba Electronic Devices & Storage Corporation just shared some exciting news—they’ve added new 24 TB models to their N300 and N300 Pro Series of internal hard drives! These new drives give you 2 TB more space than the current 22 TB versions, making them a great choice if you need more room for network-attached storage (NAS) or private cloud storage. They’re built to run 24/7, have a standard 3.5-inch size, spin at 7200rpm, come with a 1 GiB buffer, and even have sensors to handle vibrations.
The N300 Series can handle up to 180 TB of data transfer per year and supports up to 12 drive bays, while the N300 Pro Series is even more powerful, managing up to 550 TB per year and supporting up to 24 drive bays.
“Toshiba’s 24 TB N300 and N300 Pro drives set a new standard for storage capacity and efficiency,” said Koji Sakamoto, Senior Director of Toshiba’s Storage Products Sales & Marketing Division. “We’ve used a helium-sealed design to save power, and these drives show our commitment to improving HDDs for small office NAS needs. As files keep getting bigger, this 24 TB capacity will help NAS users store and access tons of data more easily.”
The 24 TB N300 and N300 Pro models started shipping this month, so they’re ready to help with your storage needs! Are you thinking of upgrading your NAS storage? I’d love to hear your thoughts!
