Silkland has announced the H96, which it claims is the world’s first Certified Ultra96 HDMI cable series available to consumers. The initial models — a 2-meter S2705 and a 3-meter S2707 — are on sale now at silklandtech.com, starting at $32.99. Both feature aluminium-alloy housings and double-braided nylon jackets. More lengths are planned for later.
Every cable carries the official Ultra96 certification label. Buyers can scan a QR code on the packaging to verify the brand, model, and certified length on the official HDMI website.
Why Ultra96 Matters
The Ultra96 program is described as HDMI Licensing Administrator’s most rigorous cable certification to date. Unlike previous standards, each specific length must pass testing at an HDMI Forum Authorized Testing Center. Maintaining signal integrity at 96 Gbps becomes significantly harder as cable length increases, so launching two fully certified lengths on day one is a notable achievement.
Performance and Compatibility

The H96 delivers 96 Gbps of bandwidth — double that of HDMI 2.1. It supports:
- Uncompressed 4K at 240 Hz and 8K at 60 Hz with full 4:4:4 chroma
- Higher resolutions and refresh rates with DSC, including up to 4K at 480 Hz, 8K at 240 Hz, and 16K at 60 Hz
It also supports HDMI 2.2’s Latency Indication Protocol (LIP) for improved audio-video sync, along with VRR, ALLM, QMS, and eARC. The cables remain fully backward-compatible with existing 48 Gbps HDMI 2.1 devices while being ready for future 96 Gbps HDMI 2.2 hardware expected from 2027 onward.
Silkland CEO Vincent noted that the H96 is not a “coming soon” product — it is certified, labeled, and available to buy today.
The launch continues Silkland’s pattern of certification firsts, following earlier releases such as the first VESA-certified 2 m DP80 cable and the first USB-IF-certified 1.5 m USB4 80 Gbps cable.
