Welcome back to the fog.
The official trailer for Return to Silent Hill just landed, and it’s clear Christophe Gans (director of the 2006 film) is going all-in on the Silent Hill 2 vibe this time.

- Release: January 2026 (Cineverse & Bloody Disgusting)
- Cast: Jeremy Irvine as James Sunderland, Hannah Emily Anderson as Mary Crane, and Evie Templeton reprising her role as Laura (she voiced and mocapped Laura in Bloober Team’s Silent Hill 2 remake)
- Music: The legendary Akira Yamaoka returns to score the film
The trailer is drenched in rust, ash, and that unmistakable red glow, with Pyramid Head looming large and the town looking more faithful to the games than ever. No more “movie-original” monsters—this feels like Silent Hill 2 brought to life.
Gans co-wrote the script with Sandra Vo-Anh and William Josef Schneider, and the whole thing kicks off with James receiving that impossible letter from his dead wife, pulling him back into the fog-shrouded nightmare.
The marketing is already next-level: a creepy ARG just went live with countdown puzzles, distorted radio broadcasts, and siren-blaring teases across the web.
Welcome back to Silent Hill… you live here now.

What do you think—does this finally look like the proper Silent Hill movie we’ve been waiting for? I’d love to hear your thoughts!
