After a long journey, I’m both exhausted and thrilled—Lushfoil Photography Sim is finally out! It’s a big step to share this with the world, but I’m eager to see what you all create with it. I’ve poured a lot of care into the game’s environments, and now it’s time to hand it over. I can’t wait to see the amazing photos you take!

I’m happy to introduce Lushfoil Photography Sim, a peaceful, open-ended photography adventure available today on Xbox Series X|S, with PC versions on Steam and the Epic Games Store, plus PlayStation 5. Real-life photography is fun, but it can be tough to find the time or money to travel. Inspired by places that left a mark on me, I wanted to recreate some of my favorite travel highlights for others to enjoy. Over the past few years, I taught myself Unreal Engine to bring these locations to life just as I imagined.

Lushfoil Photography Sim puts you in the first-person view, letting you explore realistic recreations of stunning, diverse spots around the world. Check out our launch trailer ! Growing up with photography, I see it as a powerful way to express yourself and hold onto memories we might otherwise forget. In Lushfoil, photography isn’t just an extra feature—it’s the heart of the game, helping you soak in the atmosphere and notice every detail.
Fully Simulated Camera Settings
My Canon 1100 inspired the main DSLR camera in Lushfoil. I’ve included familiar controls and settings for photographers, while keeping it simple for beginners who just want to snap pictures. The game also features advanced techniques like simulated shutter speed and long exposure for a true-to-life feel.
Immersive Real-World Locations

There are 10 unlockable locations, from France and Italy to Japan, China, Australia, Nepal, and Iceland. Each place is packed with details, photo challenges that take you across the map, and some fun surprises to discover. The best part? You don’t have to wait for the perfect light or fog—everything’s already set! You can tweak weather presets and adjust sun angle, wind, rain, snow, and more for an even deeper experience.
Exploration and Gameplay

Photography is the focus, but I’ve added objectives and exploration hints to give the game some structure. You can play at your own pace, and how much you progress depends on what you notice and how much you explore. Whether you’re a completionist or someone who loves taking it slow to perfect your shots, there’s something for everyone. Plus, if you want to learn more about camera settings for real life, the game includes helpful tips.
Xbox Optimization
I’ve worked hard to make Lushfoil run smoothly on Xbox Series X and S, with quick loading and steady frame rates. The powerful hardware lets me enhance models, shadows, and post-processing, making the environments feel extra vibrant. I hope this helps you capture even better photos!

Lushfoil Photography Sim is out now on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. Even after years of development, I’m excited to see new perspectives I haven’t imagined yet. Happy shooting!
