Grimlore Games and THQ Nordic just gave us a fresh update on Titan Quest II, sharing what they’ve learned from their recent playtest and announcing a new timeline for Early Access.
The game was originally set to launch in Early Access this winter, but now it’s been moved to Summer 2025. The team decided to delay it because there are a lot of action RPGs coming out around the same time, and they want Titan Quest II to have its moment to shine.
Grimlore was so thankful for the amazing response to their recent demo playtest. Thousands of players jumped in, streamed their gameplay, and filled out surveys, with over 92% saying they had a good or great experience. Longtime Titan Quest fans were especially happy, saying the game feels true to the original while bringing in updated features that fit today’s standards.
In the playtest, players got to try the game’s opening chapter, picking from dual Masteries and taking on the first boss, Appollonia the Terrible—a fight that quickly became a fan favorite. The visuals and audio got high praise, scoring 5.25 out of 6 and 5.16 out of 6, and players loved the exploration and the way the environment told its own story.

That said, the team knows there’s still work to do. They’re already working on making combat smoother, improving how abilities aim, and balancing things out, plus they’re tackling performance tweaks. They’re also adding new features based on player feedback, like customizable controls and better UI indicators, to make the game even better.

Grimlore Games promised they’re dedicated to making a worthy follow-up to Titan Quest, one that honors its history while feeling fresh for new players. They’re hard at work using feedback to polish things up before Early Access hits next summer.
What do you think about the delay and the updates for Titan Quest II? I’d love to hear your thoughts!
