ASUS is gearing up to launch the GeForce RTX 5090 ROG Matrix, and it comes with a smart new feature called Level Sense to tackle GPU sagging. This massive, premium card has an embedded Bosch Sensortec BMI323 inertial measurement unit (IMU)—a tiny chip combining an accelerometer and gyroscope—for next to nothing in cost. It constantly checks if the GPU is level with your motherboard, alerting you immediately if it tilts even slightly downward.

This is especially handy for heavyweights like the air-cooled ROG Astral RTX 5090, which tips the scales at around 3 kg and can stress your PCIe slot over time. Level Sense integrates into ASUS GPU Tweak software for real-time monitoring and extra tuning options. It’s perfect for users who rarely move their PCs and might miss gradual shifts.

The ROG Matrix RTX 5090 also uses 3 oz copper PCB layers for better heat dissipation and voltage stability, boosting performance and overclocking potential—but that added heft makes sag detection essential. Only 1,000 units of this limited edition will be available, and it’s expected soon.
Level Sense debuted on earlier Astral models and now gets its official name with the Matrix. It detects tilts as small as 0.1 degrees, sending pop-up warnings to adjust support and avoid damage.
What do you think about this sag-fighting tech? I’d love to hear your thoughts!
