darkFlash has just revealed the FLOATRON F1, a clever microATX PC case with a floating extended base that boosts airflow and fits more hardware. Measuring 431 x 240 x 421 mm and built from 0.8 mm SPCC steel, it comes in Black and White. It supports microATX and Mini-ITX motherboards, GPUs up to 350 mm long, CPU coolers up to 185 mm tall, and has five PCIe slots. Storage-wise, you can fit up to three SSDs and three HDDs. For cooling, it handles up to nine fans and top-mounted radiators up to 360 mm. Fan spots include the top (3x 120 mm or 2x 140 mm), side (2x 120 mm or 2x 140 mm), rear (1x 120 mm or 1x 140 mm), and bottom (3x 120 mm). The vertical air duct design improves thermal performance, and open vents on the side, top, bottom, and rear keep things flowing.
The FLOATRON F1 also has a clamshell-style side panel with a screwless, tool-free setup for quick access. The floating base enhances GPU airflow, cutting temperatures by 5-7 °C according to darkFlash, and doubles as a display spot for custom lights or decor. Front I/O includes one USB Type-C, two USB 3.0 ports, HD audio, and dedicated power/reset buttons. darkFlash hasn’t shared exact availability or pricing yet.
