Seasonic is reportedly working on a passively cooled 1,000 W power supply for desktop PCs, according to Cowcotland. This new unit is expected to join the PRIME Fanless TX family and could be called the Prime Fanless TX-1000. It’s said to target an 80 Plus Titanium efficiency rating and might make its debut at CES 2026 in Las Vegas. Right now, Seasonic’s fanless lineup tops out at 600 W and 700 W, including several PRIME Fanless TX and PX models, plus the passively cooled Prime Titan. All share a compact ATX size of 170 × 150 × 86 mm, are fully modular, and earn Titanium or Titanium Plus ratings.

The new 1,000 W design would likely keep the series’ high efficiency, aiming for about 94% at 50% load. It could also include the typical 100,000-hour MTBF and 12-year warranty. But details like ATX 3.x support, connectors, price, and availability are still under wraps. Don’t expect a budget price—the 700 W Prime Fanless TX-700 currently costs $378 on Amazon in the US.

What do you think about a 1,000 W fanless PSU? I’d love to hear your thoughts!
