EA DICE is gearing up to launch an Open Beta for Battlefield 6 multiplayer later this month, and it’s almost time to jump in! If you caught the Battlefield 6 multiplayer reveal showcase, you can play early from August 7-8. The first open weekend with live servers runs August 9-10, followed by a second weekend from August 14-17. The beta will feature a limited set of maps and will look similar to the final game, though it won’t have all the polished visuals. Because of this, DICE has released a special PC System Requirements list just for the beta—keep in mind the final game’s specs might differ.
For the bare minimum to run at 1080p with 30 FPS on low settings, you’ll need at least a GeForce RTX 2060, Radeon RX 5600 XT, or Arc A380 “Alchemist” graphics card with 6 GB of video memory. Pair that with an Intel Core i5-8400 or AMD Ryzen 5 2600 six-core processor and 16 GB of dual-channel RAM. You’ll also need Windows 10, DirectX 12, and 75 GB of disk space. There are two recommended tiers: the “balanced” setup targets 1440p at 60 FPS on high settings, while the “performance” tier aims for 1080p at 80+ FPS on low settings. Both require at least a GeForce RTX 3060 Ti, Radeon RX 6700 XT, or Arc B580 “Battlemage” with 8 GB of video memory, plus a Core i7-10700 or Ryzen 7 3700X, 16 GB of RAM, Windows 11, and DirectX 12.

No matter if you’re on Windows 10 or 11, the game comes with some security must-haves. These include a TPM 2.0 compatible root of trust, UEFI Secure Boot, VBS (virtualization-based security), and HVCI (hypervisor-protected code integrity)—settings that match the default security setup of Windows 11 24H2. It’s a good bet these requirements will stick around for the final release too.
What do you think about these beta specs? I’d love to hear your thoughts!
