Global memory leader Team Group Inc. just revealed an exciting new addition to industrial storage—the Team Group Industrial P250Q Self-Destruct SSD! This clever device combines software and hardware data erasure methods with a unique independent destruction circuit, making it a standout for security. Built to handle the tough demands of military, industrial automation, and AI applications, the P250Q has already earned the 2025 COMPUTEX Best Choice Award in the Cybersecurity Category.
The P250Q features a patented destruction circuit that wipes data at the hardware level by targeting the Flash IC directly. It’s backed by a smart software system with an auto-resume feature, ensuring data erasure keeps going even after a sudden power cut—perfect for keeping sensitive info safe. Designed with real-world use in mind, it offers a dual-mode destruction system, a simple one-click activation button, and multi-stage LED lights to show the progress, providing easy and strong data protection for high-security settings.

This SSD uses a PCIe Gen4x4 interface and follows the NVMe 1.4 protocol, delivering impressive read speeds up to 7,000 MB/s and write speeds up to 5,500 MB/s—great for handling critical workloads. It comes in sizes from 256 GB to 2 TB, built with reliable 3D TLC NAND Flash and S.M.A.R.T. health monitoring to keep it running smoothly and lasting longer.
On top of the P250Q launch, Team Group also shared that they’ve secured a U.S. invention patent for their wide-temperature M.2 SSD tech, designed for tough industrial heat. This innovation adjusts data transfer rates across three thermal zones, keeping the SSD stable in temperatures from 85°C to 105°C. It’s a perfect fit for electric vehicle ECUs, smart manufacturing gear, and in-vehicle systems facing extreme heat, showcasing Team Group’s knack for creative solutions.
Team Group sees this launch, along with the patent recognition, as a big step forward in their focus on industrial storage and data security. Looking ahead, they’re committed to keeping innovation at the heart of their work, delivering safer and smarter storage options for global industrial and military needs.
